Officer Robert Zdziarski (Mirek-6th Period)

Many people see police officers as enemies or a burden to society. Others see them as friends ,companions, or allies to the community. One local officer, Robert Zdziarski, has been a police officer for 22 years now. He has been in a large amount of fights. There have been fights where there was weapons involved. He has been hurt while working and had to be in rest for 6 months. He has very proud to have gotten his education. He went to college for two years when he was about 33 years old.

One of the reasons he chose to be a police officer was to help and protect the community. He wakes up in the morning not knowing what's going to happen that day. Like he said " I like helping people that are in need of help." He's been shot at while on the job and has had to look for people. He just wants to make the community a safer and better place.

CPD Officer Zdziarski is questioned by our inquisitive students.

Officer Zdiarski is a very modest man. He stated "I wouldn't consider myself a hero because I'm just doing my job." Officer Zdziarski values the safety of others rather than his own. Rather than running away from danger like the other people, he goes head on to the source. Officer Zdsiarski just wants to do one thing: keep the community safe. He enjoys ensuring the community's safety and happiness.

Officer Zdziaski thinks that "anybody that does their job to help the community is a hero." He told us to work hard in school.Officer Zdziaski said, "be successful in life." He told us that when he retires, he would want to go back and finish college. Overall Robert Zdziarski is a hero to society.
